Khmer New Year 2024

April 13-14, 2024

This was our third year in a row fundraising for Khmer New Year! It’s such a lively occasion to celebrate and connect with community members. This year, we set up a booth at Wat Dhamma in Stockbridge, GA and Trairatanaram Temple in Atlanta selling fresh coconut! A huge shoutout to our volunteers who travel to the different temples and transport all of these goodies almost every weekend in April to bring awareness of our organization to different communities throughout Georgia.

Whether you’re a die hard football fan, love watching commercials, or a Swiftie who’s just now learning the game, everyone was tuning in to this year’s super bowl. We sold football squares to fans who wanted to test their luck while watching the game. It was such an awesome way to connect with supporters who aren’t local and unable to attend our in-person events – and we ended up selling out of three sheets! We can’t wait to play again next year!

Khmer New Year 2023

April 15-16, 2023

We celebrated Khmer New Year again fundraising at the Cambodian Buddhist Temple of Georgia and Wat Dhamma in Stockbridge, GA! In addition to imported items and accessories, we also sold raffle tickets for a free professional photoshoot, offered by one of our Georgia-based supporters, Solita Delacruz Photography. Khmer Karaoke Party

June 10, 2023

We hosted our very first Karaoke Party Fundraiser, featuring both Khmer and American music! We invited our supporters and their friends to join us for great music, dancing, raffles, and friendly competition at I Luv Hot Pot in Duluth, GA. It was such a success and we hope to do it again next year!

Trai Rattanaram Temple

We got to connect with the community at Trai Rattanaram temple during their anniversary service. Just another way we look to spread the word and grow our organization!

Khmer New Year 2022

April 16-17, 2022

We kicked off our first in-person fundraising event at the Cambodian Buddhist Temple of Georgia in Lithonia, Sovannkiri Buddhist Temple, Snellville, GA, and Wat Dhamma in Stockbridge, GA for Khmer New Year. We hosted a vendor tent to sell homemade baked goods, imported items from Cambodia including silk clutches and traditional scarves, and souvenirs including glasses adorned with Angkor Wat design. We are so grateful for the venerables, board and community members for including us in the celebration!
